County's First Lacrosse Classic Set for May 9
The Prince George's Lacrosse Classic will include high school and youth players, plus an appearance by the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

More than 200 high school and youth lacrosse players will participate in the first Prince George’s Lacrosse Classic, to be held May 9 at Mitchellville Fields in Bowie.
The event that will include a round robin tournament of seven Prince George’s County high school programs and youth games between the Prince George’s Pride and Bowie Bulldog Lacrosse. US Lacrosse and the professional Major League Lacrosse Chesapeake Bayhawks will be in attendance as well as lacrosse clothing and equipment retailers.

Prince George’s County Schools is slated to start varsity lacrosse in the spring of 2016. All these teams are currently funded solely through private donations.
High school teams participating will be: Eleanor Roosevelt, Oxon Hill, Gwynn Park, Henry Wise, Vincent Pallotti, Bowie, and Frederick Douglas.
