Early Walmart Closing On Christmas Eve Angers Patrons In Clinton
Customers coming to pick up last minute Christmas gifts were reportedly not allowed to enter the store.

CLINTON, MD — Customers at the Walmart in Clinton were apparently outraged when staff at the store stopped allowing people to enter about 40 minutes before closing time on Christmas Eve, WJLA reported.
A sign on the door said the store would be open until 6 p.m. but customers stopped being allowed in at 5:20 p.m., according to WJLA.
One woman quoted by WJLA who posted a video to Facebook Live said she thought the situation was pretty messed up as people were coming to pick up gifts.

"It's Christmas Eve," she said. "Have some compassion."
Cops were apparently called to the scene to manage angry customers, according to WJLA.

“Customer safety is our top priority," Walmart said in a statement. "Management made the decision to cease entry to the store early in order to process the customers remaining inside before closing for Christmas. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused.”
