Fatal Accident Near Ritchie Marlboro Road
A car from the outer loop drove onto the inner loop.
Two people are dead and two people were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after a car on the outer loop of the Capital Beltway drove onto the inner loop at about 6:30 a.m.
The accident shut down both sides of the Beltway, according to a Washington Post report, and traffic was stop-and-go well into rush hour. The inner loop at Ritchie Marlboro Road remained blocked while police investigated the crash.
