Frederick Scott Arrested, Held on $500,000 Bond

The police accidentally set him free six months ago because of a clerical error.

The Prince George’s County Police Department re-arrested Frederick Lawrence Scott on Tuesday,

After Scott was arrested yesterday, he appeared in Upper Marlboro for a bond review. He’s in police custody on $500,000 bond.

Scott, 20, was originally arrested in March in connection with a homicide in Edmonston. That day, patrol officers went to the 4700 block of Kenilworth Avenue for a reported shooting. Once they arrived, officers found Phillip Watson suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Scott was arrested May 5 in Las Vegas and was extradited to Prince George’s County.

Initially, Scott was held on a no-bond status. Due to what appears to be a clerical error, Scott was later given a $75,000 bond and released from the Department of Corrections.
