Ivey vs. Edwards: Who Wins?

The two county figures are set to square off for Maryland's fourth Congressional seat.

Last week, former Prince George's County State's Attorney Glenn F. Ivey made it official. After much speculation about his run for another public office, Ivey has filed paperwork to run against Donna Edwards in Maryland's fourth Congressional district. Ivey served as the state's attorney for eight years.

Two years ago, many thought Ivey would run for county executive. Instead, he formed an exploratory committee to look into a bid for Congress. Edwards, of Fort Washington, has represented the state's fourth Congressional district for two years.

But this showdown pits two popular figures against one other. Should be an interesting year.
