Local Administrator Uses Twitter to Connect with Students

William Blake, an assistant principal at Wise High School, is big on social media.

During my high school days, we weren't allowed to have any mobile devices in the building. In fact, I can remember several friends pleading with administrators to have their pagers returned. (Pagers, remember those?)

Apparently, times have changed. WUSA has a story about Wise High School assistant principal William Blake, who uses Twitter to say "good morning" to the school's 1,800 students. Blake, who goes by the name @PumasDen, had 1,806 followers as of Thursday evening.

According to the WUSA report, he also uses Twitter to solve student conflicts and interact with the student population before the school day. If I were a student at Wise High, I'd watch what I said online. Mr. Blake is on the prowl.
