Massive Fire Destroys Upper Marlboro House: Firefighters
Firefighters estimate the damage to the home to be around $600,000.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD - A large fire completely gutted the inside of a two-story house in Upper Marlboro early Friday morning, according to firefighters.
At 5:45 a.m., the Prince George's Fire Department arrived to a house fully engulfed in flames located at the 6200 block of Connaught Court.
Acting deputy fire chief Kevin Dunn said the house ultimately suffered a total collapse. Due to the heavy flames inside the house, firefighters initially attacked the fire from the outside.

Firefighters said the fire appears to have started in an attached garage and then spread into the roof of the 5,600 square foot home.

According to firefighters, the fire left one person displaced. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
