Ashanti Billie, Missing Prince George's County Woman, Found Dead In North Carolina: FBI
BREAKING: The woman had been missing since Sept. 18.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The FBI has confirmed that a body found in Charlotte belongs to Ashanti Billie, the Prince George's County native who was last seen at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Norfolk, Va. on Monday, Sept. 18.
Billie — a 2016 graduate from Henry Wise High School in Upper Marlboro — was last seen on surveillance video entering Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek at about 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18. She was reporting for work at a sandwich shop on base, the FBI said. Billie never arrived at work and did not attend her college classes.
Billie's phone was recovered in a dumpster near the corner of Tallyho Terrace and Azalea Garden Road in Norfolk, about three miles from where she was last seen, Sept. 18.

In a statement posted to Facebook earlier today, Billie's family said they had received information that a body had been found in Charlotte and the family was awaiting further updates. When it was confirmed that the body was that of Billie, the family said through a statement that Billie's parents would be releasing a statement later Saturday evening.
The FBI said in a statement that its mission now was to bring justice for Billie and the agency would be relentless in its effort to find out who did this to her.

"We will not rest until the person who robbed Ashanti of her life, her promise and her future is held fully accountable under the law," the FBI statement said.
Her car, with the Maryland license plate number 2CX-0575, was located in the 9500 block of Lakeside Dr. in the Ocean View area of Norfolk Saturday, Sept. 23.
NBC Washington reports Billie moved to Virginia Beach in August to take culinary arts classes at the Art Institute of Virginia Beach.
The FBI was offering a significant reward for information that led to finding Billie and her employer, Blimpie, matched the reward the FBI was offering bringing the total money being offered for information to $20,000.
