PG County Man Wins $100K In Lottery On His Birthday Week

A lucky 76-year-old Prince George's County man scored $100,000 in a Powerball win on his birthday week.

CLINTON, MD — A lucky Prince George's County man scored $100,000 in a Powerball win on his birthday week July 26, the Maryland Lottery announced Tuesday.

The 76-year-old Clinton man won a $50,000 prize when he matched four numbers and the Powerball on his quick-pick ticket from Tuckers Liquors in Clinton. He then doubled to $100,000 because he added the game's optional Power Play feature, and the multiplier for that drawing was 2.

The retiree plans to use the funds from his win to pay off bills, and may use a portion for an upcoming trip.
