PG County Woman Facing Marijuana-Related Charges
The woman was arrested at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on I-495 in Fairfax County, police said.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A Maryland woman is facing charges related to marijuana posession after she drove into the closed-off scene of a multi-vehicle crash cause by a wrong-way DUI driver on I-495, the Virginia State Police said.
Police said around 7:43 a.m., the woman drove into the closed-off scene as they were investigating and working to clear the scene.
A trooper stopped the car and as the woman was asking for directions on how to get around the scene, the trooper saw marijuana in plain view inside the car, police said. Police said 3.5 ounces of marijuana and a large amount of marijuana edibles were found inside the car.

Samantha Markos, 34, of Temple Hills, was charged with reckless driving and distribution of marijuana with intent to distribute, police said.
She was taken to the Fairfax County adult detention center.
