Post: Upper Marlboro Couple Indicted for Holding Woman in Servitude

Gloria and Alfred Edwards Jr. face up to 50 years in prison.

Gloria and Alfred Edwards Jr. have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that they held a Filipino woman in captivity for 10 years, paying her little or no wages at all, according to a Washington Post report.

The couple face charges of forced labor and domestic servitude, according to the report. Each person could serve 50 years in prison and pay as much as $250,000 in fines if convicted.
