Son of Upper Marlboro Native Named to Dean's List

Malik J. Cochran, whose mother is from Upper Marlboro, was honored at Randolph-Macon Academy.

 

Malik J. Cochran, the son of Susie A. Cochran of Upper Marlboro and Kevin D. Moon of Brooklyn Park, was named to the Randolph-Macon Academy’s Dean’s List for the first quarter of the 2011-12 school year.

Cochran is a freshman at the Front Royal, VA school.

Founded in 1892, Randolph-Macon Academy is a college preparatory, co-ed boarding school for students in grades 6 through 12.

Students in grades 9 through 12 participate in the academy’s 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, which is recognized as a Distinguished Unit with Merit, according to an academy press release.
