Carroll Chamber Hosts Event Featuring Local Authors

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will host its First Annual Chamber's Author Signature Event at it's Main Street office on Thursday, Dec. 19. 

Attendees can meet 10 local authors, get books signed, network with other local business men and women, and have books wrapped to give as gifts. There will be light refreshments and Belk will be on hand to provide gift wrapping. 

The event will take place at 9 East Main St. from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.on Thursday, Dec. 19. No advanced registration required. 

The following authors will be at the event:

• Christine V. Walters, MAS JD SPHR, FiveL Co. author of "From Hello to Goodbye Tips for Maintaining Positive Employee Relations"

• Joseph Fleck, author of "River Rat" and "The Barnacle and the Bracelets" written for middle school youth

• Todd Burrier, author of "Live Full, Live Well" and audio book "The 6 Decisions for Success"

• Billy Schroeder of Giulianova Deli and author of "Eat Thin"

• Laura Meck of Sonata Venture Solutions and author of "SMART Marketing for Real People"

• Al Betz, Outfluence author of "Polishing the Pearl" and "Ring Around the Rosary"

• Lyndi McNulty of Gizmo's Art and author of "Farming in Carroll County"

• Ken Rupert of Vita Copia Group and author of “Planned Excellence: How to Achieve Greatness through Strategic Planning”, “Strategic Goals: The DNA of Personal Success” and “The Dynamics of Abundant Life: Living a Life of Purpose and Meaning.

• Senator Joe Getty, author of Carroll's Heritage--Essays on the Architecture of a Piedmont Maryland County and Excerpts from “The Engine of Liberty and Uniontown Advertiser”

• Heather Shreve of Lifeguard Wellness and author of “Caught On The Equator”
