A special celebration to thank customers, volunteers and donors on June 19
Westminster, MD (June 17, 2021) — Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County today announced the Grand Opening Celebration of the first Habitat ReStore in Carroll County. The store opened on March 6, 2021. In thanks to sponsors, donors, volunteers, and shoppers, Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County is hosting a day-long celebration, beginning with an official ribbon cutting to open the store for the day.

“The ReStore has been a huge success since we opened our doors in March. Now it's our turn to say thank you to everyone who has been involved with our success. When we opened this March, we knew we couldn’t host an event on this scale. We are all excited to now welcome local officials, donors, and Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County board members, volunteers, and sponsors to celebrate with us and thank them for all they have done to bring our ReStore to life. and thank them for helping to support the work of Habitat for Humanity,” said Scott Swartz, interim co-executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County and ReStore manager.
The Habitat ReStore is a home improvement store and resale center that sells donated furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Habitat for Humanity uses funds raised by its ReStores to help more families build, rehabilitate and repair their homes.
