Carroll County Library Announces New Express Pickup Service

New Library Services to Begin June 8

Carroll County, MD – Carroll County Public Library (CCPL) will begin offering contactless Express Pickup and Information Service on June 8. Express Pickup will allow customers to request materials online. Once they receive notice that items are in, customers may fill out a form (https://library.carr.org/pickup) or call their local branch to request Express Pickup. Full details about the new Express Pickup Service are available at https://library.carr.org/coronavirus.asp.

Librarians will also be available to answer information and account questions. Information Service will be available by calling any CCPL branch Monday-Friday from 10:00am – 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm. In addition, customers can continue to stay connected to the library through virtual programming, multiple digital services, and tech tools. A full calendar of events is available at https://library.carr.org. For materials checked out or renewed between February 13 and June 7, the library will continue to waive fines and those materials will be due back July 31. Customers should use the exterior bookdrops when returning items. At this time, CCPL is unable to accept any donations of materials, including books, magazines, movies, etc.

On the announcement, Andrea Berstler, CCPL Executive Director, said, “CCPL is pleased to provide Express Pickup and Information Services as a way for our community to access the library’s collection. We know that as a community of readers, Carroll County values its library. We are delighted to be taking even these small steps forward to restore library services to our community.”
