Dog Bite Prompts Search For Black Lab Mix In Westminster

Health officials say the dog was walking with four poodle-like pooches over the weekend in Westminster near Main Street.

WESTMINSTER, MD — Health officials have asked for help finding a dog that looks like a lab mix accused of attacking someone. Authorities say the dog bit a person outside the Cup Tea Bar & Cafe in Westminster over the weekend.

The alleged bite occurred around 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, on East Main Street at Railroad Avenue/MD 27, officials reported.

The dog was a medium-sized black lab who was being walked with four poodle-type dogs, according to health officials.

The victim will be treated with a series of post-exposure rabies shots if the dog has not been found and verified to be in good health by April 11.

Anyone with information regarding the dog or owner is asked to call the Carroll County Health Department at 410-876-1884 or the Carroll County Humane Society at 410-848-4810.
