Dr. Roger Casey and Robyn Allers Impact Fund created at McDaniel
McDaniel College Board of Trustees establishes the Dr. Roger Casey and Robyn Allers Impact Fund

The McDaniel College Board of Trustees has announced the establishment of the Dr. Roger Casey and Robyn Allers Impact Fund to provide financial support to first-generation college students.
This new fund, supported by friends of McDaniel College, creates grants for first-generation students at McDaniel to fund expenses related to study abroad, internships, and/or research opportunities.
“These opportunities can be life-changing for all students, but especially in the life of a student who may be exposed to them for the first time,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Otto J. Guenther, chair of the board of trustees, at the board’s annual spring meeting on May 15.

As a first-generation college graduate himself, Dr. Casey has been an advocate of McDaniel’s access and affordability mission. Dr. Casey and his wife, Robyn Allers, have supported opportunities that “prepare students for successful lives of leadership, service, and social responsibility,” as stated in McDaniel’s mission statement.
President Casey, who is retiring at the end of the 2020–2021 academic year, took office as McDaniel College’s ninth president in July 2010 and has overseen McDaniel’s campus in Westminster, Md., as well as the college’s European campus in Budapest, Hungary.
