Find Out What Drugs Carroll County Kids are Using

Attend this upcoming workshop to learn about drug use trends in Carroll County.

Curious about what drugs kids are using in Carroll County? Have kids and not sure how to deal with conversations about drug use? The Carroll County Health Department is hosting a workshop to educate local residents about drug use in the county.

The Prevention Office of the Carroll County Health Department will be discussing substance abuse trends seen in Carroll County youths. This awareness program is free and for parents, grandparents and caregivers of children ages 10 and up.

"Our goal is to make adults aware of this drug culture and how it can affect our youth," Carol Mullen of the Carroll County Coalition Against Underage Drinking said. "Our job is to start the dialogue."

The workshop will take place on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Finksburg Library.

"The program connects current drug and slang terms, and risky behaviors associated with pop culture and trends in Carroll County," Mullen said.

The program is free and open to the public.
