Pedestrian Killed In Finksburg Crash: Carroll Sheriff

FINKSBURG, MD — A pedestrian died in a crash in Finksburg Tuesday night, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, which reported Wednesday morning that the investigation was ongoing.

The deceased was a 50-year-old woman whose name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, officials said.

At 7:50 p.m., the driver of a 2004 Acura TL had been driving north on Kays Mill Road south of Route 140 when he hit a pedestrian, according to the sheriff's office. She was walking south in the northbound lane and was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials reported.

The driver of the Acura — Jason Patrick Sagal, 30 — was uninjured, officials said.
