Shepherd's Staff Needs Stuffed Stocking Donations Today

Shepherd's Staff is in a "bit of a crisis" as stocking donations have not been coming and time is running out. 

An email from Executive Director Brenda Meadows says, "For some reason the stockings are just not coming in this year and distribution is this Thursday evening." 

Shepherd's Staff is located at 30 Carroll St. in Westminster. The organization provides services and resources to underserved populations in the Westminster area.

Shepherd's Staff offices will be open today (Tuesday, Dec. 17) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accept donations. 

Directions for stuffing a stocking for Shepherd's Staff:

Please mark the stocking with a tag that can be easily seen: girls / boy / infant / teen and the approximate age level.

• Infant stocking: Pacifiers, bottles, bibs, baby powder, one-piece outfits, socks, booties, baby toy.

• School Supplies: Pens, pencils, sharpeners, crayons, markers, stamps/ink pad sets, writing pads, notebook paper, solar calculators, etc.

• Toys: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yo’s, coloring books, story books, jump ropes, small etch-a-sketch, toys that light up or make noise, Slinky, bubbles, etc.

• Hygiene Items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild soap, comb, brush, deodorant.

• Other: T-shirt, socks, sunglasses, hair accessories, jewelry, watches, flashlights, underwear.

• Love to have included: The biblical Christmas story, religious CD’s / DVD’s (age appropriate)

• Please do not include: Used or damaged items, war-related items, such as toy guns or knives, chocolate or food, out of date candy, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers, aerosol cans.
