The city of Westminster's trash schedule will be adjusted this week to account for the holiday.
The revised schedule for trash services within the City limits will be effective Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Dec. 27 and is as follows:
- Monday – Tree limbs and brush collection, entire City
- Tuesday – Metal, tires, batteries and large appliances collection, entire City
- Wednesday – No pickups, city offices are closed
- Thursday – Bulk for residents East of MD RT 31 (Zones 2 & 4)
- Friday – Bulk for residents West of MD RT 31 (Zones 1 & 5)
Household trash service provided by Ecology Services will change as follows:
- Household trash collected on Monday, Dec. 23 and Tuesday, Dec. 24 will remain the same.
- Trash will NOT be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 25; household trash normally collected on Wednesday will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 26;
- Household trash normally collected on Thursday, Dec. 26 will be collected on Friday, Dec. 27; and household trash normally collected on Friday, Dec. 27 will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 28.
Christmas trees can be dropped off next to the dumpster at the Westminster Skate Park beginning on December 26 for collection by the City. The Skate Park is located at the corner of Tuc Road and Locust Street, behind City Hall.
