Murder, Missing Woman Sparked Manhunt For Maryland Resident
A Carroll County man is in custody. He was wanted in two states after a homicide, carjacking and missing woman were reported in Virginia.
A Westminster man was arrested in North Carolina Friday night after police said he stole a vehicle and led the Raleigh Police Department on a chase. George Knisley IV, 41, was wanted in Maryland and Virginia.
He has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a homicide in Cumberland, Virginia, according to Virginia State Police.
A woman who lived in the home where the homicide occurred Friday has disappeared and is described as critically missing. Police said Amy Renee Fabian, 43 of Cumberland, Virginia, remained missing Saturday morning. She is 5-feet-8 inches tall and 124 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, according to police. Authorities say they want to question Knisley regarding her disappearance.

He is accused of stealing three vehicles since Thursday, in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.
Police said additional charges are pending.

Previous report — A Westminster man is a person of interest in a Virginia homicide, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. Multiple law enforcement agencies are trying to locate him, officials reported Friday evening.
George William Knisley IV, 41, of Westminster, may be driving a 2013 white Honda Civic with Virginia license plates, officials said. He may be armed and dangerous, the sheriff's office reported.
Knisley is suspected in a homicide that occurred Friday morning in Cumberland, Virginia, according to Virginia State Police.
A man who lived at a home in the 200 block of Mount Airy Lane in Cumberland was found dead at the residence when authorities responded to a call for a homicide there at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24, according to Virginia State Police.
Amy Renee Fabian, 43, who lived at the home in Cumberland, Virginia, was missing when officers arrived, police said. She is considered a critically missing person.

While Virginia State Police officials were investigating the homicide, they learned of an armed carjacking in South Hill, Virginia, about 75 miles south of where the homicide occurred.
A woman was walking out to her car around 6:30 a.m. when a man who fit Knisley's description threatened her at gunpoint and stole her 2013 Honda Civic. He left, and she was unharmed.
He is described as 5-feet-11-inches tall and 180 pounds with a full beard and tattoos on his arms.
Police said he may be in one of two vehicles:
- A 2013 white Honda Civic with Virginia plate "LAR 64," stolen at 6:30 a.m. Friday.
- A 2002 Ford F350 truck with "Allegheny Industries" on the side and Maryland tag "22L 231," which was stolen in Maryland on Thursday.

No charges have been filed at this time, the Carroll County Sheriff's Office reported before 7 p.m. Friday, stating that the Westminster man was considered a "person of interest" and authorities were trying to locate him. Virginia State Police called him a suspect in the disappearance of Fabian and the homicide of a Cumberland man.
