Man Found Dead In Road Prompts Police Investigation
A man was found dead on a road in Wheaton Sunday night and it is unclear how he sustained his injuries, police said.

WHEATON, MD — A man was found dead on a road in Wheaton Sunday night and it is unclear how he sustained his injuries, Montgomery County Police announced Monday.
The unidentified man was located at 10:01 p.m. in the 11800 block of Huggins Dr.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

It is unclear how the man sustained his injuries, police said. Major Crimes and Collision Reconstruction Unit detectives are conducting a joint investigation at this time.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of the male’s death. His identity will be released once it is confirmed, police said.

This is the second death reported in Wheaton this past weekend.
Early Saturday, a Silver Spring man was killed by an alleged drunk driver while he was walking on University Boulevard West at Amherst Avenue.
The victim was identified as Edwin Diaz, 38. He succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision and died in an area hospital, police announced Monday.
