Motorcyclist Dies in Crash with Trash Truck: Police

A Spencerville man died Monday when his motorcycle struck a trash truck driven by a Virginia man, according to police.

The Montgomery County Police Department says the fatal accident happened just before 5 p.m. on Spencerville Road, west of Peach Orchard Road.

Police say Toure Philip Kelley, 26, of the 1400 block of Spencerville Road in Spencerville was driving a dirt bike in the yard of 2301 Spencerville Road. Kelley’s motorcycle left the yard and entered the road, then struck the rear passenger side of the eastbound truck.

Kelley, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the truck driver is Thawng Sian Mung, 47, of the 42600 block of Frontier Drive in Ashburn, VA.
