Police Investigate Wheaton Bank Robbery
Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a PNC Bank in Wheaton.

WHEATON, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on April 13 at a PNC Bank in Wheaton.
The robbery happened at about 7 p.m. at the PNC Bank inside of the Giant Food at 2900 University Blvd. W for the report of a bank robbery.
The investigation revealed the suspect entered the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank, police said.

The suspect was last seen on foot in the area of the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road.
Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
