Olivia Dennett submitted this photo of her with her dad Billy, taken in January, 2011. The photo was taken shortly before Billy passed away from Stage 4 cancer when Olivia was 8. The family lived on Westdale Ave. in Wilmington, and Olivia, who is a freshman at Wilmington High School, lives on Olson Street.

He is my ultimate hero. I have always looked up to him, and he was always there for me. I am who I am because of him. I always admired his strength, his work ethic and his love for his family. I know he continues to watch over me even though he is gone. Both my parents were born in Peabody in the 20s, both were taken back to Kalamata, Greece, and both returned in 1946 on the boat that Truman sent to Europe to bring the US citizens back after the war. They both had relatives in Peabody and settled here. Dad worked at AC Lawrence for almost 20 years before it closed and my mother worked at JB Thomas. - Charlene Tsionis Deftos
