Duxbury High School's Athletic Director On The Way Out
Scandals surrounding the high school's coaches have contributed to the athletic director's ousting, according to officials.
DUXBURY, MA — Athletic director Thom Holdgate was informed that he will not be returning to Duxbury High School next year.
According to a report from the Boston Globe, Holdgate's ousting comes after two coaches were fired in this spring.
Football coach Dave Maimaron was fired after a player on Duxbury High school's football team yelled out, "Auschwitz" during a game against Plymouth North back in March.

Boys hockey coachJohn Blake was fired in April after an investigation was launched into a lawsuit alleging Blake repeatedly raped a middle-schooler in the early 2000s.
The Globe says that Holdgate shared the news that his contract would not be renewed in an email to Duxbury’s coaching staff on Wednesday.

According to the Globe, before the scandals broke, Holdgate was considered a candidate to succeed the current executive director of the MIAA and Massachusetts Secondary School Athletic Directors Association.
