MA Storm Updates: Increased Totals, When Snow Starts And Stops
The third storm in eight days will be moving in quickly from the west, dumping up to 8 inches of snow on parts of Massachusetts.

The third storm in eight days will soon dump anywhere from 3-8 inches of snow across most of Massachusetts.
Snowfall is expected to begin between 8 a.m.-10 a.m. in central Massachusetts and 10 a.m.-noon in eastern Massachusetts. It's expected to continue for about 12 hours, with the heaviest of it coming between 2 p.m.-7 p.m.
North and west of Boston are under a winter storm warning and expected to get the worst of it. Places like Worcester, Amherst, Lawrence and Newburyport are looking at 6-8 inches.

The Boston area could get 4-6 inches, with snow totals decreasing farther south. Southeastern Massachusetts is looking at 2-3 inches and the Cape and Islands just 1-2. You can see a snow total map above.
The incoming snow will only pad existing snow piles from a storm over the weekend and another the previous Monday. Schools are already calling remote-only days or canceling class completely.

Wednesday morning will be sunny and cold, with temperatures starting in the teens.
This won't be the last of the snow. More storms are possible at the end of this week and Sunday.

Thursday — Partly sunny, with a high near 27. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Friday — Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23. North wind around 6 mph.
