  • Discovey Museums: “The Discovery Museums have 10 garden spaces as well as wooded areas on the museum property. Join our Exhibits and Facilities Director to assist in maintaining gardens and grounds. Work ranges from light gardening and planting to jobs with heavier lifting.”
  • College Students Needed to Fight Cancer: American Cancer Society: “Relay For Life is a 12 hour, overnight, community gathering that gives everyone an opportunity to fight cancer and help save lives. Teams camp out around the track and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 each.”
  • Gentiva Hospice: “No matter your talents or interests, you can make a difference in someone’s life. When you volunteer with us, you become part of a skilled team of compassionate people who dedicate their time to a truly noble cause.”
  • Help Special Needs Child Play Baseball: “Help special needs children with the game of baseball. No baseball skills necessary. Just lots of encouragement and enthusiasm. Games last about 75 minutes. We play 6 games every Saturday starting at 9:00, 10:15, 11:30, 12:45, 2:00 and 3:15. Volunteers can help at any number of games they wish although we prefer either multi -week or multi-game commitments. The season runs from Saturday, September 6th through October 18th. Must pre-register to be a volunteer.”
