According to a report by Wicked Local Acton, this new location is the brainchild of 1990 Acton-Boxboro graduate Peter Henry and brothers Matt and Josh, who are also graduates of ABRHS. The food comes directly from local farmers, fishermen and producers, according to their website. However, their beers are brewed in a different fashion.

“We do our beers true to style, meaning we’re using true Belgian yeast from true Belgian grains. We’re doing a Czech Pilsner; we’re using true Czech grains -- so all the way from the grains to the yeast, it will be true to that style,” Henry told Wicked Local Acton's Molly Loughman.“We’re a pub brewery, not a farmer brewery. Farmer breweries really use more local ingredients and they’ll wind up replacing some of those true-to-style things with locally grown or American grown. That may seem counter to our farm-to-table restaurant mission, but at the same time we look at the beer a little differently.”
