Acton, Boxborough Among MA's Best Places To Raise A Family: Study

ACTON, MA – Acton and Boxborough rank among the top 25 communities to raise a family in Massachusetts, according to a study from website Niche.com. Just in time for Father's Day, the website took a look at the best places to raise a family in states across the country.

In Massachusetts, Middlesex and Norfolk counties dominated the top 100. Lexington and Sudbury took the top two spots, followed by Sharon, the Southborough village of Cordaville and Weston.

In the national rankings, Devon, Pennsylvania earned top honors for the second straight year. Lexington was the sole Massachusetts community to crack the top 25. The lists were created using information about public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family friendly amenities. Data was pulled from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, CDC and other sources, according to Niche.

Boxborough, ranked 10th, received an overall A+ grade, earning high marks in public schools, housing and being good for families. See how Niche broke it down here.
