Acton Coronavirus: Cases Rise To 45

Here's the latest update about the coronavirus in Acton.

ACTON, MA — Acton has 45 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, as of Sunday. The town is monitoring anyone who has been in contact with a confirmed case and encourages residents to practice social distancing.

On Friday the town launched a social media campaign to encourage residents to support our local businesses. Residents were encouraged to take photos with their take-out orders from local restaurants and use the #takeoutselfie and tag the town's social media accounts.

Acton elections have also been affected by the virus. Through the Town Clerk's office registered voters may request a vote by mail application for the June 2nd Town and Special State Representative (Precincts 3, 4 and 5) elections.

The Town of Acton has set up a COVID-19 hotline, it can be accessed by calling 978-929-6619. Please refrain from calling the hotline to inquire about individuals who have tested positive to respect their privacy. The individual's medical information is confidential and the release of this information is limited by law.
