Acton's Gallagher Named Player of the Week for Field Hockey
Leddy Gallagher, a senior midfielder at Keene State College, was honored as the ECAC New England field hockey offensive player of the week.

She started for two years at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and has starred for the Keene State field hockey team this season.
Her standout efforts last week earned Leddy Gallagher led Keene State to its ninth Little East Championship and earned her the individual accolade of being named the ECAC New England field hockey offensive player of the week.
According to a press release, Gallagher produced eight points, on three goals and two assists, to power top-seeded Owls to the Little East title.

“Leddy was the engine that drove us through the tournament,” KSC Coach Amy Watson said in the press release. “She really turned it up when she needed her the most. “Her effort wasn’t just in the championship, but was throughout the entire tournament.”
Gallagher tallied her fifth marker of the season, in Keene's victory over the third-seeded Plymouth State. And, earlier in the week, the midfielder recorded five points, including two goals, to lift the Owls past fourth-seeded UMass Dartmouth.
