Acton's Weather: From 60 Degrees to Snow

Snow is possible on Saturday, Sunday and Monday; after a week in which temperatures exceeded 60 degrees.

ACTON, MA - Yes, you read that right. After some beautiful, warm, sunny weather, Acton is expected to see some snow this weekend and on Monday.

After temperatures in the 60s Thursday and Friday, cool weather is moving in, along with the white stuff. Acton is predicted to get around two to four inches of snow

Here's a look at Acton weekend forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Saturday Night: A chance of rain showers before 4am, then snow showers likely, possibly mixed with rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Sunday: Snow before 11am, then a slight chance of snow showers between 11am and noon. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 37. Windy, with a west wind 22 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Sunday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 5am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. Breezy, with a west wind 16 to 21 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
  • Monday: Snow likely, mainly after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Light and variable wind becoming east around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

More snow is in the forecast to start the week with early snow showers on Monday turning to steadier snow in the afternoon bringing another one to three inches. And even some more snow showers Monday night.
