Tractor-Trailer Crash In Acton Causes Serious Injuries
Two women were trapped in their car that crashed with a tractor-trailer and had to be rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
ACTON, MA — A car crash in Acton on Monday morning trapped two women in their car after they crashed with a tractor-trailer. The women were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The accident happened on Great Road at Meyer Hill just before 8:30 a.m.
Both women were trapped inside of their Nissan Versa and first responders had to free them — the driver was taken by ambulance to nearby NARA Park, where she was picked up by a medical helicopter and flown to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in critical condition.
The passenger was taken by ambulance to Lahey Hospital in serious condition.

the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and stayed at the scene.
Route 2A was closed between Main Street and Harris Street.

Acton police said the crash is still under investigation but no citations or charges were filed.
