Coronavirus: Acton Cancels Fourth Of July Celebration

ACTON, MA — Acton has 56 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Thursday. The town is closely monitoring all confirmed cases and close contacts. Acton officials remind residents to practice social distancing while out.
Due to public health concerns all concerts and special events scheduled through July 15th have been postponed or cancelled, including the Fourth of July celebration along with Chinese Music and Dance Night, June 12th; Classical Concert, June 17th; Beach Party Blast, June 20th; and Foreigners Journey, June 26th.
Acton's Board of Health also closed NARA Park after residents were ignoring social distancing guidelines and congregating in the park. The park will stay closed as long as the local and state emergency continues.
