Election 2020: How To Cast A Mail-In Ballot In Acton
Patch has details on early voting, mail-in voting and in-person voting for the Massachusetts state primary on Sept. 1.
ACTON, MA — The Massachusetts state primary is Tuesday, Sept. 1, but the election will be much different this year, thanks to the coronavirus. This year voters have the option of voting in-person on election day, as well as early voting and mail-in voting options.
The last day to register to vote for the Sept. 1 primary election is Aug. 22. You may register to vote online or in person. If you are unsure of your registration status, you can check online.
Vote By Mail
Acton's 2020 Vote by Mail Application is available online. Mail-in early voting ballots are available for the September 1st state primary election as well as Nov. 3rd state election. Completed ballots may be dropped off at the Acton Town Hall. The Ballot Drop Box is located to the right-hand side of the main entry doors of Town Hall.

Deadline to apply for Early Voting by mail:
For the Sept. 1st Primary: Aug. 26 – 5:00 p.m.
For the Nov. 3rd Election: Oct. 28 – 5:00 p.m.
