ICYMI: Acton Wants More Ice Cream, Panera Bread

ACTON, MA – Acton has quite the sweet tooth, it seems. We asked you on Facebook this week what businesses you'd like to see come into town, and, maybe it's the weather, but you had ice cream on the brain. As of Friday, the post had more than 20 comments, and an ice cream shop was overwhelmingly the favorite, with Panera Bread at No. 2.

Other popular responses included a super market – preferably Wegman's, Market Basket or Whole Foods – and a Target. Specifically, a Target where the Kmart is (hope Kmart doesn't take it personally).

Some people wanted to see a sandwich shop, a sushi place, a great spot for breakfast, a bakery, an arts and crafts store, a day care center and (my personal favorite) a book store come to town.

But the most "liked" response – and only one to receive the coveted "heart" emoji – was an ice cream shop, racking up 15 positive reactions. The message was crystal clear. Anyone looking to enter the dairy business needn't look any further than Acton.
