1. Snow Globes: Drop by the Discovery Museums from 1 to 4 p.m. this Tuesday, Dec. 17 to make your own mini snow globe. Get the details here.Â
2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, here's the week's lineup of public meetings:Â
- Monday, Dec. 16: the Board of Selectmen and Sewer Commissioners at 7 p.m., the Green Advisory Board at 6:30 p.m. and the West Acton Citizens' Library Board of Trustees at 7:30 p.m.Â
- Tuesday, Dec. 17: the Acton Housing Authority at 4 p.m., the Commission on Disabilities at 9:30 a.m. and the Acton-Boxborough Transitional School Committee's Superintendent Search Subcommittee at 4:30 p.m.Â
- Wednesday, Dec. 18: the Conservation Commission at 7:15 p.m.Â
- Thursday, Dec. 19: the Health Insurance Trust (HIT) at 8 a.m. Â

4. Concord Women's Chorus Holiday Concert - "Winter's Promise": At 3 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 21, the Concord Women's Chorus will "Winter's Promise," a popular holiday program which concludes with CWC’s annual audience carol sing.Get the details here.Â
5. Holiday Brunch Week Begins Sunday: The Local Table, which ordinarily serves all-day brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, will serve its brunch--which includes breakfast favorites, specialty sandwiches, mimosas, eggnog (with or without rum) and hot chocolate for kids and adults--on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of Christmas week.
