Number Of Coronavirus Cases In Acton Continues to Rise

Acton was in the "yellow" zone in last week's report from the state.

ACTON, MA — The number of coronavirus cases continued to rise last week, according to the state's data. Acton reported 59 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to April 10.

The average daily incidence rate was higher than the previous week's, increasing to 17.8 from 14.4. The percent positivity increased from 2.27 percent to 2.82 percent. Acton is labeled "yellow" in the state's risk assessment.

The state reported 59 communities were high-risk last week, down from 77 the week before.

Massachusetts reported 26,717 cases over the past two weeks, with a daily incidence rate of 27.4 cases per 100,000 people and a percent positivity of 2.3 percent.
