Obituary: Sandra Clark, 79, Formerly of Acton
Sandra owned and operated a daycare center out of her home on Central Street in West Concord.

ACTON, MA – Sandra A. (Whitney) Clark, 79, formerly of Concord and Acton, died peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough.
She was born in Concord on January 18, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Foster and Martha (Thatcher) Whitney. As a child, she grew up in West Acton and graduated from Acton-Boxborough High School. A talented athlete, she lettered in Basketball, and participated in softball and bowling leagues in the Concord area.
Sandra took pride in her profession and to care for others. In addition to raising her own family, she owned and operated a Daycare center out of her former home on Central Street in West Concord. Her career continued as a Nursing Assistant at Emerson Hospital, Fairlawn Nursing Home in Lexington, and more recently at Clark Care, Inc. in Lexington.

She was a longtime communicant at the former Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in West Concord. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and her various employments.
She leaves behind her loving children, Edgar F. Clark of Seattle, WA, Allyson E. McLeod of Merrimack, NH, Jeffrey P. Clark of Concord, Deborah A. Simoneau of Northborough, Martha J. Walsh of Hampton, NH, Marion J. Jalbert of Hudson, and Andrew J. Clark of Stow, as well as 12 grandchildren.

Visiting hours are on Wednesday May 10th from 4 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her funeral will take place on Thursday May 11th from the Dee Funeral Home at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Concord.
