Police Log: A Weed-Filled Sock, Bomb Squad on the Train

Friday, Nov. 1
2:14 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Great Road. The premises checked secure, and the cause of the alarm was unknown, according to the incident report.
7:07 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident on Central Street.

7:49 a.m. – A motor vehicle accident was reported on Main Street. There were no injuries, and both vehicles left the scene, according to the incident report.
12:08 p.m. – A Prospect Street resident reported a sock was left at the end of her driveway with something inside of it. The responding officer reported the sock contained a small jar of marijuana, which he returned to the station.

12:31 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic on Great Road. As a result, Injun Chon, 24, of 384 B Great Road, Acton, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
2:53 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a car into a tree on High Street.
5:12 p.m. – Police—along with Transit Police, Acton Fire and the State Police Bomb Squad—responded to a report of a suspicious package left on a train by central Street.
6:34 p.m. – The manager of a Main Street business reported receiving a call from someone saying if she didn’t give the callers Credit Cards they would “come in shooting.”
8:11 p.m. – A man reported an alleged act of road rage in which another vehicle was riding his bumper on Main Street by Not Your Average Joe’s.
10:48 p.m. – Police responded to Mass Ave for a report of teens assaulting another teen.
