Police Log: CIA Suspicions, Chopping Trees in Conservation Land

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

4:34 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report the roads were getting slippery; the Highway Division was notified.

10:52 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a TV dumped in the woods on Hayward Road.

11:09 a.m. – An officer assisted Maynard Police with mutual aid responding to a past breaking-and-entering to a house o Dartmouth Street.

3:17 p.m. – Police responded to Powdermill Road for a report of larceny.

5:56 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Old Stone Brook, where a vehicle had reportedly been parked in a lot for more than an hour. The responding officer reported the vehicle moved over to Tumbling Hawk Road as the driver was using the phone in his car.

8:36 p.m. – Officers spoke with a School Street resident about “the CIA following her around.”

9:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a man chopping down trees in the conservation area off Newtown Road.

9:20 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Robinwood Road and found a motor vehicle accident involving a fire hydrant.
