Police Log: Injured Animals, Traffic Trouble and Reported Gun Shots

The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 14

2:39 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a deer being struck by a car on Great Road. There was no damage to the vehicle, but the deer was dead and moved to the side of the roadway.

6:34 a.m. – Police responded to a report of an injured owl down on Liberty Street.

3:42 p.m. – A call came in reporting three tree trucks blocking traffic on Musket Drive. The vehicles were moved to the side of the road and off of the sidewalk.

6:01 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Eastern Road. The business checked OK.

10:05 p.m. – Police responded to Main Street for a report of an erratic operator in the area.

10:32 p.m. – An officer reported checking on an abandoned motor vehicle on Route 2. There no one in the area, and the vehicle was far enough off of the roadway that it was not a hazard.

11 p.m. – A motorist reported debris on Main Street. The responding officer reported it was a tarp with leaves beneath it, which was moved to the side of the road.

11:44 p.m. – Police responded to the area of Acton Convenience on Great Road for a report of gun shots heard. The area checked quiet at the time.
