Police Log: Scams, Suspicious Activity and Neighborhood Harassment

Tuesday, Jan. 21
7:26 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation at an office on Great Road.
2 p.m. – Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave. There were no reported injuries.

2:22 p.m. – Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Great Road.
3:43 p.m. – A man called to report he was in possession of a counterfeit $5 bill. The responding officer advised the cash was not, in fact, counterfeit.

3:58 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a possible missing person on Central Street. The person in question was located.
6:44 p.m. – Police responded to a report of neighborhood harassment on Bankside Hollow.
10 p.m. – Police responded to a report of kids doing donuts in the roadway on Huron Road.
10:13 p.m. – A caller reported kids in a vehicle, possibly doing drugs, on Hosmer Street.
11:50 p.m. – Police responded to a reported house lockout on Oneida Road. Entry was gained to the home after the resident gave permission to take out side windows.
Wednesday, Jan. 22
3:11 a.m. – Police responded to a residential burglar alarm at Post Office Square. The location checked secure, but the cause of the alarm was unknown.
12:25 p.m. – An Ethan Allen Drive resident came into the station to report possible scam activity.
2:25 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Great Road.
4:09 p.m. – A downed wire was reported in the roadway on Newtown Road.
7:25 p.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation in the lobby of a business at Post Office Square.
9:41 p.m. – A Nagog Park Drive business reported an employee who got fired was refusing to leave the premises. The employee in question was gone on arrival.Â
