Police Log: Well Is There a Hot Air Balloon or Isn't There?
The following information was provided by the Acton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Nov. 16
2:41 a.m. – An officer reported checking on an open door on Central Street. The door appeared to have been an oversight and nothing was disturbed, according to the log entry.
7:31 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation on Black Horse Drive. It was confirmed as accidental by a homeowner.

8:12 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a hot air balloon down near some trees on Mass Ave. Officers checked the area, but nothing was found.
5:03 p.m. – A caller reported the train lights near New London Style Pizza have bene going off for some time, though no train was coming. The responding officer indicated the gates were shut down as no train would be passing through to South Acton at that hour.

10:03 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a large group of young adults “being very noisy” in the upper parking lot of the high school on Charter Road. The group was asked to move along, but there were other cars still in the parking lot when they left.
Sunday, Nov. 17
6:41 a.m. – The manager from a Great Road gas station reported a vehicle had been parked at the pumps since 3:30 a.m. Police were unable to locate the registered owner, whose address was on Great Road. The business reported the owner eventually moved the vehicle.
6:50 a.m. – Police responded to an alarm activation at the TJ Maxx on Mass Ave. The alarm was reportedly due to a power failure in the area.
3:49 p.m. – A dog was reportedly running loose on Route 2 by Taylor Road. The responding officers reported nothing found in the area.
6:50 p.m. – Police took a report of an alleged larceny on Huckleberry Lane.
