Magic and romance meet down in the bayou where "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" comes to life and the Jazz Era in America explodes. This popular comedy gets a new and contemporary treatment when set in the Art Deco world of the Deep South’s mangroves and Spanish moss. When the feuding king and queen of the fairies interfere in the couplings of mortals, the result is pure pandemonium and magical mayhem.

While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their friends presenting a play-within-a-play. Chief mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue.
