ACTON, MA—Stephen Morse, 57, formerly of Boxborough passed on April 9 in his Maine home after a long and courageous bout with cancer.
Morse was the brother of Acton Fire Capt. Scott Morse, and the Acton Professional Firefighters Local 1904 offered their condolences Monday evening.

Morse is survived by sons Stephen Jr. and Timothy; Grandson Timmy Jr.; sister Brenda Nichols and her husband Lance; brothers David and wife Joanne, Scott and wife Johanna, Lee and wife Lisa and sister-in-law Lynn Morse. He was the loving companion of Charlene Fecteau of Maine.
Visiting hours will be held on April 16 at the Acton Funeral Home from 1 to 4 p.m. with a service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cancer Community Center, 778 Main St. South Portland, ME 04106.
