Storm Prompts Early Release in Acton

It'll be an abbreviated return from Christmas break for students in Acton, as the arrival of a winter storm has prompted an early dismissal today, Jan. 2. 

According to the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District's website, all schools will follow an early dismissal procedure today in anticipation of poor weather conditions. 

That schedule is as follows: 

• RJ Grey will dismiss students at 10:40 a.m., with the High School shortly after that
• Conant, Merriam, and McCarthy-Towne students will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. 
• Gates and Douglas will dismiss their students at 1 p.m. 
• All afternoon pre-school and Kindergarten classes are cancelled
