Abbott's Frozen Custard Planning Second Arlington Shop
The NY-based chain of frozen custard shops opened its first Arlington location last summer.
ARLINGTON, MA — A year after opening its first location in the town center, Abbott's Frozen Custard is planning a second shop in Arlington. The Rochester, NY-based chain of frozen custard shops recently announced on Facebook that it will open a shop in Arlington Heights.
Abbott's first opened in Arlington last July. The chain also has shops in Needham and Lexington and recently shut down its Brighton location.
Abbott's opened its first shop in Rochester, NY in 1926, 24 years after founder Arthur Abbott started selling frozen custard at carnivals along the east coast. It now has 40 locations spanning Massachusetts to Florida.

The chain has not announced an opening date or address for its new location.
